Special issue of Materials
The special issue of Materials “Emerging Environmentally Friendly Materials and Green Nanotechnologies” is now open for submissions
Guest editor: prof. Valentina Beghetto
The circular economy and sustainability are becoming fundamental to both society and many industries, creating new, unexplored opportunities for innovation and ecodesign.
EU regulations and directives, together with Reach restrictions, are limiting the panorama of products and processes, paving the way for different technological solutions, materials, and nanomaterials within the principles of green chemistry. For example, the plastic industry is under the spotlight due to environmental pollution deriving from fossil fuel-based plastics, together with limited feedstock availability. But many other industrial compartments, such as the textile and leather industries, are facing similar limitations and product restrictions.
The aim of this Special Issue of the journal Materials is to publish original research and review articles reporting environmentally sustainable solutions, materials, and nanomaterials for different applications and manufacturing compartments.
